Moving is one of the primary stressors on individuals and families, and this is especially true when completing a more significant move across the province, or even the country. It is a game between throwing out the non-essentials and dealing with things that you are attached to. However, the team at Dumpster Rentals by Load-N-Lift Disposal have been assisting people and businesses with moves since our inception, and we are proud to offer our clients a great checklist to follow along during their move.
Start the process, even when it is tough
When moving, it is a lot of pre-work when compared to other services. There is the pre-quote, dealing with packing and merely choosing a company. There is a lot to do, but remember that you need to roll with the punches and keep momentum. Generally, the pre-work including choosing a company is a longer-term process that should begin at least a couple weeks out at a minimum.
Rent a bin
The team at Dumpster Rentals by Load-N-Lift Disposal has become an integral part of moves across the city, and part of the reason is it is simple. You can order one of our bins and have it dropped off in a few days, and with the flexibility of picking it up after the move, you will be able to clear out your home with ease. Let our bin help make some decisions a little easier, and do the right thing, rent a bin for your trash and recyclables before your move.
Start making and marking boxes
The boxes can be the toughest part of a move, but if you do the hard work beforehand, life is a little easier. First, you will need to make the boxes, and that is going to be a job that is best done with a bottle of wine, or a great glass of sparkling water. Once done, you will start to pack, and this is where the second part comes in. You need to mark your boxes the right way. This means you should mark the room and the area in which these items were boxed to make things a little easier. For instance, a box could be unlabeled and heavy or could be labelled kitchen-dish cabinet to make things simple.
Direct the movers
If you do not do the move yourself, you need to have someone able to help direct the movers on d-day. No matter if we are talking about the furniture or some boxes, nothing is worse than having to move a table after the movers have left. Do yourself a favor and find someone you can trust and will know the home, and you will thank us later!
Moving is stressful enough, but when you add the pressures of a job and kids, it can become ridiculous. Let the team at Dumpster Rentals by Load-N-Lift Disposal help you get rid of some junk before the move with an easy drop off and pick up bin!
